Pay and employment
$25–$35 an hour depending on the trade, the assignment and what you bring to it. You are a W-2 employee, not a 1099 contractor — that means payroll taxes are handled, and the hourly figure is what you were told it would be. Every assignment states its pay before you accept it. Joining does not guarantee assignments or any particular amount of work; how much you get depends on availability, your location and facility demand.
What you need
Hands-on maintenance or trades experience, reliable transportation, and basic tools. No prior healthcare experience — facilities brief you on their own procedures, and most of the work is the same work you already do. A high-school education or equivalent is the formal bar.
If your situation is specific
Weekends and evenings. A lot of facility work has to happen outside business hours, so weekend and evening assignments are genuinely available rather than a token option.
Part-time. You accept assignments individually. Taking two a month is a normal way to use this, and there is no minimum to stay in the network.
Veterans. Military maintenance, facilities and construction experience maps directly onto this work. Say what you did on the application — MOS and equivalent civilian trades both count.
Assisted living and healthcare facilities. Much of our placement is here. It is ordinary maintenance in a building where people live, which mostly means being tidy, quiet, and mindful of residents around the work.
